Default Java Webstart Error help request

EDIT: The issue has been resolved. I will leave this up for the purposes of an interesting programming discussion, but if the mods feel the need to delete it I would not object.

So, I've been trying to deploy an application on a web page I created using Java Webstart and I keep getting to following error:

com.sun.deploy.net.JARSigningException: Found unsigned entry in resource: http://firstprinceproductions.heliohost.org/Wounded.jar
at com.sun.javaws.security.SigningInfo.getCommonCodeS ignersForJar(Unknown Source)

at com.sun.javaws.Main.access$000(Unknown Source)
at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

I thought it might be an error in my JNLP file, so I modifed it to look like this
Java Code:

<jnlp spec="1.0+" codebase="http://firstprinceproductions.heliohost.org/"
href="http://firstprinceproductions.heliohost.org/woundedjnlp.jnlp">
<information>

Wounded Launch Equipment

<vendor>firstprinceproductions</vendor>

Game applet launcher

Game applet launcher

<offline-allowed/>
</information>
<offline-allowed/>
<security>
<all-permissions/>
</security>
<resources>
<j2se version="1.5+"/>
<jar href="wounded.jar"/>
</resources>
<application-desc main-class="MainProgram"
width="900"
height ="900">
</application-desc>
</jnlp>
Based off some advice for a similar error. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I think there might be something wrong with the way I'm referring to my file, which I do in the calling html document with:

Java Code:

First Prince Productions Present:

Launch Wounded

But I'm drawing a blank. I call on the more experienced programmers present. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

The error stack trace tells you that you have an unsigned jar in you application. So you need to sign it first before it can be distributed as Java Webstart using JNLP protocol.

Java misery research 101.

a) take the error message you get and strip off the part that is specific to you; in this case your jar name
aa) so you'd get "com.sun.deploy.net.JARSigningException: Found unsigned entry in resource:"
b) copy/paste that into google
c) search
d) get reasons for it happening, with actions to take to resolve it

The good thing about Java is that it's been around for a looooooong time, there is almost no problem you can run into that someone else hasn't had before. Make good use of that wonderful fact.

Before I downloaded the reference implementation and searched the code till I identified the bug, I googled it. There were about 5 to 7 results ... all in Chinese. I couldn't fathom whether they were even relevant.

Oh and Sun (and Oracle after them) never did accept this as a bug

Apparently it was only important to you "in the west" then ;)

I've had to dive into source code a few times, but generally to work around the fact that there was no proper documentation... That includes the JDK source.
