    Default New flexible project

    Hello,

I want to realize an java project.

    My requirements are:

    - architecture: client, server
    - client: web, mobile and standalone
    - server: jee with hibernate
    - I want to see results in a short time, that means implmenting first algorithms with gui for user inputs

Someone knows a good tutorial for a small example (glassfish with hibernate and easy gui)?
Has some of you ideas for setting up suach a project with given requirements?

    thx

Devil's advocate: You realize that your inability to find this kind of stuff yourself through simple research is proof that you are in fact not going to succeed? If you can't research your own information, you're doomed. I would work on that if I were you.

You'll need to be more specific. "GUI" is very non-specific. What framework are you planning to use? Spring? JSF? Wicket?

If its JSF (because you also lazily refer to "JEE" even though that is a huge collection of separate specifications and APIs) then this will be of help:

The BalusC Code: JSF 2.0 tutorial with Eclipse and Glassfish

You don't need ideas, you need to get informed by reading, studying, researching and experimenting. It is going to take a few months to get knowledgeable enough to tackle something like this.

    Hello gimbal2,

I am rough informed about a lot of frameworks and solutions.
I asked for someone who can recommend Frameworks for realizing such a project. Currently I am planning with nothing.

    My Project goals:
    - using JEE
    - getting different views for output on mobile devices as an web application and as an standalone client

I want to plan the first steps like this:
    1) implementing first algorithm in jee environment
    2) setting up a simple gui for inputs for my algorithm
... I want to have first results as fast as possible.

Now I am searching for tutorials with simple and small examples of such an environment, which can be set up not in months but rather hours?
    For example:
Glassfish with EJB or Spring and first web input mask (JSP, JSF)?

If you don't know how it works, you're not going to do it in hours. But I gave you a link, go try it.
