Thumbs up How to Run a .exe in background???
I have seen in my previous company that Omnipage (OCR Engine) supports its .exe should take parameters and gives the output from comman line.At that time the configuration was done by some other guy..he wrote code like this

// Step 4: OCR each image file and generate a text file
def recType = 'OCR'
def omrResult = ''
if (recType == 'OMR') {
ant.exec(executable:'cmd.exe',outputproperty : omrResult)

{
arg(line:"/c C:\\Progra~1\\ScanSoft\\OPCaptureSDK12\\Distributi on\\opo.exe " + tmpDirPath)
}
}
else {
ant.exec(executable:'cmd.exe') {
arg(line:"/c C:\\Progra~1\\ScanSoft\\OPCaptureSDK12\\Distributi on\\op.exe " + tmpDirPath)
}
}

//here tmpDirPath is the path of the .tif files

I asked him his response was:
Take args from command line to execute the omni page as follows
C:\\Progra~1\\ScanSoft\\OPCaptureSDK12\\Distributi on\\opo.exe
use exec Runtime class to execute omni page.

I am not getting thiswhen i do it is opening in .GUI mode..

This is very urgent requirement for me...please Help..thanks

What you mean GUI mode. Even on a GUI you can execute another process.

I mean If i use that code i dont want to see any GUI on my screen.it should take tmpDirPath (.tif images path) as argument and processes internally.

What kind of GUI you are talking about? Your own GUI?

the Omnipage GUI(window is poping up).After installing the OmniPage setup the .exe will be created right.If i want to process any .tif through Omni page i will go to open,browse,select,Process,save..this should be done with my program without opening any Omnipage window...For this i have taken the code from my ex.employee..its working fine for him.When i tried the code is not wrking for me..its opening in GUI .

Ominipage can take command line arguments?

At the same time, did you search our forums. I've just remember quite similar problem discussed here. Hope that moderator DonCash discussed this in depth.

Thats what i am saying :

the code is working fine when he passes the arguments("I have seen in my previous company that Omnipage (OCR Engine) supports its .exe should take parameters and gives the output from comman line.")....in the first post only..can you please see the code once and let me know what and how to do..

FYI...that post is also hosted by me only..i still didnt get any solution...the code i got from my ex employee which was working fine in production.
