    well 'programfiles' surely isn't correct.

Tip: install Java into a simpler folder structure. I use X:\java to store all my Java stuff, so if I install it in C:\ I'd have:

    c:\java\jdk7
    c:\java\jre7
    c:\java\eclipse
    c:\java\workspaces
    c:\java\tomcat7
    c:\java\maven3

etc. Everything nice and tidy packed together, there is no mistaking where you have to go look for Java stuff and there is near-zero chance of making a typo.

that doesn't make a difference, the windows filesystem is case insensitive. You were missing the space in "program files".

(Assuming that you have installed jdk in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25)
Go To -> My Computer -> Properties -> Advance System Settings -> Environment Variables ->
In System Variable portion click new and set :
    Variable Name = PATH
    Variable Value = .;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin
Now go to User Variable portion and set :
    Variable Name = CLASSPATH
    Variable Value = .;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\lib
Now open command window and write javac -version ... You have set up Java Environment enjoy

Please, this has been discussed over and over again: don't set a classpath environment variable (and most certainly not to that value).

Try installing Java in an easy path without spaces. I use X:\java\jdk7, where X is whatever drive you want. That way it is far easier to configure and find.

That is again not the solution. Probably you had to restart the command prompt only.
