    Default [Starter]Creating a calculator using strings

    hey guys . I'm totally new in java and i'd love to learn it.
    i'm trying to script a calculator using strings that calculates these things :
    pow
    sin
    cos
    tan
    Fibonacci
    %
    *
    -
    +
    and some other things...

    well its a class project but i don't know how should i start :s
    could somebody help me?! :s

    oh. from i don't know where should i start from , i meant the calculator thing by using STRINGS! :) ^^

    Some key words you should Google are "lexer" and "parser". Simple calculators are sometimes implemented with "recursive descent".
    Get in the habit of using standard Java naming conventions!
