Question Problem importing a jar file into Eclipse

I'm experiencing a problem when trying to import a jar file into eclipse. I followed numerous tutorials explaining how to do it, but I'm always confronted with error saying the file has no source attachment. I'm beginning to thing the file is corrupt or something.

Could any of you java-heads look at my file and tell me whether or not it's beyond saving? Here's a link to the file:

    Many thanks!

Eclipse tries to find the source files for the code in your .jar file so it can display source code if needed (e.g. while debugging); if you don't have any sources for that .jar: no problem, the .jar will still work.

    Hi,

the file is fine. But it only contains *.class files. That's why you get that message.

EDIT: Jeeebus, slower than Jos. That's new.

If the file is indeed fine, how do I go about opening it?

Why do you want to open it? Only to see ugly .class files and other resources?

Actually, I just want to run it, but every time I try I get an error message saying "The Java-JAR-file couldn't start. Check the console for error messages" (roughly translated from Dutch).

I do have the latest version of java installed.

That must be an error message from the code in that .jar file itself; does it come with a readme file explaining the preconditions before that code can be run? What does it read on the console?

I finally figured out the problem. It had to do with a folder that was replaced by another, but the program was still referring to the old one.

    Thanks for your help!
