    Default Java Project Error

    Dear Masters,

I am new to this thread, sorry if I have posted this in wrong thread.

I am having a java project created in netbeans using swings about 2 years ago using Microsoft access database. Now, when I am trying to execute the jar file in windows 7, it does show up the screen but the password does not let me in.

It did connect for the first run but then it is not connecting at all.

The password I am using is same as in the microsoft access database. Now, I am unable to debug this project as I am only left with the jar file and the database file with me.

Please help me as to how to debug this jar file and also do guide if I can re-create the .java and .class file from the jar file.

I tried doing this with eclipse and also with netbeans but it is showing me hell lot of unknown errors.

    Please help.

Default Java program from .jar file

    Dear Masters,

I know I am really very stupid to ask this, but is it possible to convert .jar file again to netbeans project?

I had created a java project with forms and buttons in netbeans almost two years ago and now I am only left with the jar file of that program as by mistake I deleted the source files from my system and it is not available anywhere.

I am not being able to run that .jar file again and I want to debug that. Please do help me I am stuck badly.

    Please please please do help.

Please go through the Forum Rules, particularly the second paragraph.

I've merged the thread you started in the NetBeans section here.

You can try using a decompiler to recover the source code, but you won't be able to recover anything relevant to the visual designer (if that's what you used to create your GUI).
