Default Mapping commands to jar files?

    Hey,

So I was wondering how I would go about mapping a command in windows/linux terminal to run a jar file. The same way you might run "java" from command line, but with a jar file that I have - that is, rather than calling java -jar file args, just run like... cmdname args. Is this possible? And if so, how would I go about programatically mapping the command in a sort of "install" type of thing in java? I hope my question is clear, not too sure how to explain it better.

    Thanks.

Sounds like a batch file (windows) or bash script (linux/mac) is what you might be after. How its done is system dependent. Google these phrases for more information
