Who cares? Some people prefer NetBeans, some prefer Eclipse and some prefer something else; this is not religion nor has it anything to do with pride or intelligence or whatever; it is just about a tool.

    kind regards,

I use bluej because thats all I know. When I started last semester this is what my teacher told us to use. I don't see any problems with it.

There is tutorials for both. Click the help button. There will also be online documentation.

unlike JCreator it's harder to make simple 1 file 1class applications, typically you need to make a project, package, class...
So for that reason I keep JCreator lite installed as well, it also starts up faster and less system resource intensive.

EDIT: However I don't consider JCreator to be an IDE, it's more of a text editor with a compile button. So it's good to have both around.
JCreator for simple tests I need to do (or quick examples), and Eclipse/Netbeans for actual projects.

;) That's why teachers allowed you to study a lot, rather teaching all by them.

Well i'm using eclipse too for about 4 years. I don't really know why though. I guess i got used to it and it seems that a lot others does too. :P . I don't have something against the other IDEs or editors.I'm using notepad++ for some seperate coding really often too. And i used Netbeans for about 2 years some time ago when i was a student :)
