Since I'a a beginer, I need some guidelines for a task . I'm given a simple java program and I have to write another one wich reads some data (constants at first) from that program, and compares them to values stored on 2 or 3 locations on the hard disk. It checks if there is any fault in the first program and if it is , it replaces the them in the first program. I've read a lot on self-healing , fault tolerance and I have a ideea of what i have to to, but every advice would be welcome.
