    Default any BIGMAN can help man?thanks so much!

    im totally new to this forum.
    I got a small part of my java program that can not figure out:
    π=4(1-1/3+1/5-1/7+1/9-....-1/(2i-1)+1/(2i+1))
    just ask to write a program to display the πvalue for i = 10000,20000,.....100000

    What are you trying to accomplish here? It looks like an alternating series problem. Please be more specific as to what you're requiring... if you simply don't understand that mathematical statement then have a look at that link.

    What do you mean by "Bigman" ?

    we can approx figure Pi=4(1-1/3+1/5-1/7+1/9-....-1/(2i-1)+1/(2i+1)),
    the question ask u when i = 10000,20000.....till100000,the value of the Pi(the equation).thanks so much!looking forward to ur replies!
