How to self sign an Applet/Application
So I'm not sure if it's just possible to sign an applet or if it's also possible to sign an application, I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum because of this.
Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to sign an applet jar file I created and I keep running into online tutorials that say:
1. keytool -genkey -keystore myKeyStore -alias me
2. keytool -selfcert -keystore myKeyStore -alias me
3. jarsigner -keystore myKeyStore jarfile.jar me
Now that's all fine and dandy, but I have absolutely no idea where the heck I'm supposed to type that stuff.
Is it supposed to be typed in the command prompt? Is it some IDE function? I'm really really lost here and would
appreciate it if someone could give me step by step instructions on how I'm supposed to accomplish the three steps
above once I have a jar file. Any help at all would be deeply appreciated.

Here's a handy step-by-step guide: https://weblogs.java.net/blog/kirill...g_jars_fo.html
And yes, you're typing that into the command line.
