I am trying to setup JConsole notifications using MBeans. I have setup the smtp settings and thresholds on objects such as maxheapproc % and subscribed to it. It populates the grid in the subscribe window, but does not email the information to me. I am not blocking any ports outbound and confirmed the smtp settings are correct.

I am new to Java if that isn't already obvious.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
