What's your definition of an 'unidentified' file?

What I mean is that the file has no extension so like when you scroll over a notepad file it is a text file or a java file is .java it only says file under it with the name of the file

File extensions are significant only in Windows. Whether a file is a text file or not doesn't depend on the file name. But you said that you create the file, so what stops you from creating a file with a name that has the desired extension?

One thing a programmer on Windows needs to do is set the Windows Explorer options to show all file extensions.
This will help you identify a file by seeing its extension.
If you don't understand my response, don't ignore it, ask a question.
