whats the need of converting string to long
Under what circumstances we need to convert string to long? I'm not getting the gist behind it. Please explain.

Just show me the code to add two numbers represented as String... and you did not bother to answer the last thread you opened on the same topic, so do not expect anyone to take this seriously.
