Question One Block. Can use OpenGL.

    Hello,
I'm new to Java and OpenGL and I've gotten a book on OpenGL and searched the web and one thing I can't find I simple One. Complete. Simple. Program. What I wanted to do was create a game like Minecraft for a personal project. Maybe you've heard of it before. It's a game where you place and destroy blocks in an infinite world along with other survival challenges etc. Anyways I'm looking for an OpenGL program that does something really simple. But what I'd really like is a piece of code that can generate a simple cube it doesn't even have to use OpenGL if it's possible. That's it. As long as it doesn't take too much time to build because I'm not trying to sound like a lazy person who sits here while others write code for me.

    Thank You,
    Sly14Cat

This is a great tutorial. Since this is based on the Swing API does that mean it supports the draw feature, or has its own.

What exactly do you mean by "draw feature" and why is that important to you?

I mean as I'm trying to make an interactive world of blocks I would like it to be able to "draw" blocks which eventually will be interactive as in breakable and placable.

Well that is what you have to implement, right? Be aware that it is not all as easy as it looks on the first glance and there is quite some brainpower behind the mincraft engine... ^^
