Default Help with Stanford CoreNLP (written in Java)

Hello, I am new to working with programs written in Java and am having a whole lot of trouble getting StanfordCoreNLP to do what it's supposed to do. I unzipped the program into its own directory, to which I added the XML file the program is supposed to process. The code I've been using to process the file (taken from the StanfordCoreNLP website) is:

    java -cp stanford-corenlp-YYYY-MM-DD.jar:stanford-corenlp-YYYY-MM-DD-models.jar:xom.jar:joda-time.jar -Xmx3g edu.stanford.nlp.pipeline.StanfordCoreNLP [ -props <YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE> ] -file <YOUR INPUT FILE>.

The problem is that every time I try to run this I get the following error: "could not find or load main class edu.stanford.nlp.pipeline.StanfordCoreNLP." I'm just not sure how to deal with this error and would appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks.

Let me see if I understand you correctly -- this is not a program that you've created, but rather is a program that you've obtained and are trying to use. If so, I think that you are unclear on what this forum is for. It is a volunteer forum to help folks learn to program in the Java. We don't have the capacity to be the support site for everything Java. Have you contacted the developers or distributors of this program? That and their help files are likely your best bet.

I was unclear about what this forum is for. Thanks for the advice.
