problem with parameters of a form

hi frnds,
i have a form as it contains some fields like
sno,sname and so on
in form i passing the values and i written a servlet for this form to get the values and insert these values to a database
the values which iam sending through the form
are not getting in servlet
so plz give rply
i found some ans like
writing param values
in web.xml
so plz help how iam going to get the parameter values
