desktop app in java

i want to make a desktop app in java and for that what i have to do?

Do you know how to write programs in Java? If not, learn to program in Java, then from small projects to big ones, you'll develop the skills to create applications. The word application is pretty broad by the way. Any program that does something on your computer is technically a desktop App...but I know what you mean...

yeah me too...i wanna know how to run java files as exe on the desktop without using the compiler to run them...but i'll do dat l8a when i learn well...

Thanks for the reply,actually its not about coding but you tell me the simple process of building a desktop app then i would be really thankful to you.I have installed eclipse juno and have the idea in my mind but i dont no where to start from..please help.

We can't tell you the steps as that is asking us to create a huge tutorial when this isn't necessary since decent ones have already been created, and surely you can find them via Google.
