Default How to make a custom JComboBox or JList

I want a drop down menu with my own styling. Also my own buttons, in different shapes/sizes. I don't simply want to put an image in the middle of a button.

    Write your own UI delegates.

Yeah, that's a LOT of work. It can be done and people do it - but most often it's more work than it's worth.

Well wouldn't a game look really cheesy without custom buttons that fit the rest of the UI? I'll look up writing my own UI delegates, as DarrylBurke said.

    Thanks guys
