    Default File Help

    Hi, new to the forums and need some help.

    I'm trying to load a .txt file which contains several thousand words, the reason for this is that for the rest of the program you will be asked to enter 8 consonants or vowels and then the program will read the .txt file and print the longest word that it can make from the letters you entered.

    I'm using eclipse and have only been learning Java for a couple of weeks and so far all code I've seen for loading a .txt file seems really complicated (to me)

    Any help would be great as I'm sort of stuck at the minute.

    Thank you for the help you provided, sorry I didn't reply sooner. It turns out we are using a class called TextIO on my course which has TextIO.readFile which makes loading a file easy. Thank you anyway as I will have to learn the way you both linked to at some point.
