Default JFrame to local host dilemma

    Hi,
I have created an applet using a JFrame in Netbeans that runs fine when I simply press 'run'. I now want to try and deploy this to a local host and then hopefully to a website. I have tried a few tutorials showing how to do such a thing but they have only shown this working with simple lines of text. Is it possible to create a web application project that will run my JFrame file? Could someone link me to an appropriate tutorial if so?
    Thanks
    Andrew

Hold it right there. You can't create an applet using a JFrame, so you need to tell us what you have actually done.

You might want to look into using Java Web Start (JWS / JNLP).

Thanks for the reply, ok perhaps I don't mean an applet. I have created a project using a JFrame.java file in netbeans and when I press the run button it opens in a new window and carries out the required steps. My question is, how do I go about hosting on a local host. I tried using <applet> tags but i'm not to sure if that is the way to go? I (think) I understand how to make a webproject that contains a servlet file, but not sure how to go about doing it for this JFrame file.
    Thanks
