    Default Importing Files

I'm attempting to display an image, but I need to import it as a file. I've been trying to get it working, but it can never find my file. I believe this is just because of the way I put in the path. If I have a file called "example.jpg" in the package "org.Jakeob.Awesome", how can I import it into my "classexample.java" which is in the same package? I'm in school and may not respond for a while. Thanks for the help! :D
