    Default can java be used to do smartphone apps as well as programs for windows xp and up

    i am looking for one language for android apps as well as programming in windows xp and newer,will java do all that and witch one should i choose ,

    Netbeans is an IDE that can help you write code, like Word can help you write a letter. It has little to do with what you're writing that code for.
