I am wondering if this idea possible...

is it possible to make an application that clicks on a predefined space on a webpage, and reads a table that is refreshed using ajax. then makes the mouse click on other parts of site.

sorry if my wording is off I will try to reword this if no one understands me.

It may be possible, kinda/sorta. But you'd have to define "a predefined space on a webpage" in a way that's intelligible to your code. Ugly at best would be my prediction.

Much better would be to use URLs made accessible by the web site. (which would make them available if automation is intended.) Failing that there are automation tools (not Java) that are more in tune with a particular operating system/window manager.
