Default How to test URL Masked Systems using JMeter?

    Hi All,

I'm having a hard time in creating a test plan for our system.
I tried creating test plan for sites like google, apache and facebook and it seems that
it works well. However, in our system, my set-up doesn't work.
My concern is that, the URL of the system doesn't change wherever you navigate
    in the system.

Is it possible to test a system with a set-up like this? How?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Jalapeno

I believe that even if URL pretends to be static it still can be tested by means of JMeter. I guess that your system state is being passed from server to client and vice versa via some kind of viewstate/postback/whatever. All you need is to extract this hidden field with Regular Expression Extractor Post Processor (basing you your system details it may be easier to use Xpath, BSF, Javascript, etc.), store it's value into JMeter variable and pass it with next request.

You can test you regular expressions using Jakarta ORO Demonstration applet, Debug Sampler and View Results Tree listener.
