    Smile Connecting to Oracle 10g from Eclipse helios using java 1.6

    Hi,


    I am new to Java Programming
    when i try to connect to Oracle 10g from Eclipse Helios using Java 1.6 i am getting below error

    connecting to database
    The Exception raised is:java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified[/SIZE]



    I tried setting NLS_LANG ,but it doesn't work.

    Please help me.......

    I am Using Java 1.6 +Oracle 10g, Operating System:Windows 7

    Not getting how to check NLS parameters at client side and server side and how to set please reply............

    To be honest, this is an Oracle question, but....
    Unset NLS_LANG, because that's what's causing the problem.
    That is, strip it out of the registry (it's under SOFTWARE/ORACLE). Not sure it picks it up from the environment variables as well.

    Probably an old value from an earlier install?

    ETA: Of course exactly which NLS_LANG to strip out will be version dependent, so you'll probably have to dig around for that.
