how to show hashmap value in a textbox

i have done a hashmap and when i click one of the option in a combobox i want the hasmap value to appear in a textbox i prepared. how do i do that?..i am not using any database for my project. thank you in advance.

What have you tried so far?
Assuming this is Swing (you haven't said) then you'll need a listener on the JComboBox.

You have a problem with a JComboBox and a text field of some sort...that does not require dozens and dozens of lines of code to demonstrate. Almost all that up there is irrelevant to your question.

to MR.Tolls. i am very sorry for the misunderstanding. when i posted this question , i posted to many forum as i can to make sure i really understood how to do it and get many opinion. i never taught that it would be wrong, and i was initially going to reply to u stating that i got the link and i can understand a bit but i was not successful when implementing it to my code. before i could do that mr. darryl posted above. i never intended to not post back to you as i respect people who teach me about java as i am a beginner. so thank you for your help and sorry if i was wrong.
