local path

i've added a folder to my project (named data).

how do i refer to this folder path to create a file there?

I don't understand what you mean.
Package is actually a floder(e.g directory) .
For example : your "listNotes" is a folder actually.
If you want create a new file under a package.
Click this package and Click NewFile button.
