Colors in Java

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the Java language, but not programming in general. I have programmed in C/C++ and in both languages, a programmer can create a method to change the color of text. I was looking through the API and I did find plenty of Color classes, but I do not know where to begin with this. If anyone can point me to the right direction or give me an example, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you.

A basic console app, such as a "Hello World" program.

You could try jlibs library. I haven't tried it myself thought but it says in the website that it has capability for coloring in a console application. Here is the link: jlibs - Common Utilities for Java - Google Project Hosting

Any efforts spent to learn how to colorize console output would IMO be better invested in learning GUI programming.
