Building a Remote Access Tool

im not fairly new to Java but new to the concept. I want to build a tool that will allow you to view access to other computers in your home from yours. I want the program to be able to make a file that you can then put on a USB drive and put on the other computers. I dont know how to go about making this tool. Anyone know any tutorials or guide books on going about something like this?

Every half decent operating system should protect its file system against such intrusions; iow, the other machine should cooperate with you machine to be able to store a file somewhere on that other machine, otherwise it can't be done (or at least: it is supposed not to be possible).

Again: the other machine (the receiving machine) has to cooperate; otherwise, there wouldn't be any safety, privacy etc.

Not sure what you are trying to do. If you have a file on a USB stick, what is supposed to happen when that stick is plugged into a PC?

On my PC I've turned off autorun so nothing happens unless the operator does it.
