    Default Java Installation.

I have been trying to get Java reinstalled for a long while now - with no success - I keep getting this error.
installer : wrapper.CreateFile failed with Error 5 : Access is Denied. I am the only user on this computer.

    Please help?

    Scott

Are you logged on as administrator when trying to install? Is there any security software blocking the installation? Have you installed any of those registry "boosters" or anything else that could have messed with your regisrty?

Try disabling AVG first, just a shot in the dark.

No joy - disabled AVG and its removed one of the installations, but not the other two.

What platform? Windows 7, Vista, XP? 32 or 64 bit? I'm assuming some form of Windows as you are talking about AVG?
If you aren't programming in Java, well that's just too bad.
    I'd rather be using Ubuntu.
