Default connecting to microsoft outlook server api?

I have not done any google search yet i will be doing that straight after i post this. What im trying to do is create a program that can send and receive e-mails just like outlook does, so what i need it to do is to connect to the server just like the outlook application does. if there is a api that already does this then that would be perfect if not does anyone have any suggestions on what i should read up on.

NetBeans comes with a huge help file. I'm sure you can find whatever you need to know there.

You added the jar files to the netbeans project under properties/libraries? If so, that is all you need to do to add a lib.

    How so?
