    Exclamation Council Tax Application

    Hi Guys,

    Ive got this code and I want to design a Java JFrame Application that accepts the market value of a home in London Borough of SwankHeath in April 2012, returning the corresponding Council Tax band. Note that all homes in Swankheath had a market value greater than 100,000 at that time.

    Here is the table that's suppose to look in the end for the output:

    ps: it usually had to be next to each other "value entered" & "Council Tax Band" !

    value entered

    100,001 to 180,000
    180,001 to 210,000
    210,001 to 320,000
    320,001 or more

    Council Tax Band

    And here is the code to begin with ...

    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;

    public class CouncilTax extends JFrame
    implements ActionListener {
    // write declarations for Swing controls, etc, here

    public static void main(String[] args) {
    CouncilTax jf = new CouncilTax();

    public CouncilTax() {
    setLayout(new FlowLayout());
    setSize(400, 300);
    setTitle("Council Tax Band");
    // write code to add your controls, etc here

    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    // write your event handling code here

    Can anyone help me out with this question, very please :S ?!

    You can simply paste it on NetBeans !

    Kind Regards,

    I'd extend the JButton class to a 'BandButton' class; it has a constructor that takes the text on the button (e.g. " 100,001 to 180,000") and single 'band' character; the ActionListener for the particular button (when it's pressed) produces the band character.

    kind regards,
