    Default Program for machine

I am new to Java but have experience with Matlab and C++. I am not asking for you guys to write this program for me, but just using this as a lifting off point and write out all exactly what I'm trying to do. I am in a group that is designing a machine that washes dental dams to deproteinize them. They will go in dentist offices. Our sponsor wants us to have the machine so that when the dental assitant or whoever shuts the door, all they have to do is push a button and the pump and nozzles will do their thing. So I would write a java program that is stand alone and goes onto a computer chip?

    Thanks.

If your group is trying to create a professional-grade product, then you really have no choice but to hire a professional programmer to do your coding. It may be expensive in the short-term, but will save you lots of money and headaches in the long term.

There exist special quality standards for medical equipment (ansi and ce some to mind); those standards are more rigorous than the 'normal' standards (compare them to the 'milspec' standards). Read them first before you even attempt to code anything at all.

    kind regards,
