Need Help with Vectors

Alright so I'm still new to java and I'm having some problems with vectors. Basically I am making a game and I created a Vector to hold the moves made. I have 4 separate classes and put import java.util.Vector; in the class with my main method. But I declare the Vector in a separate class by doing Vector moves = new Vector(); When I try to compile I end up getting an error saying Cannot Find Symbol, Symbol: Class Vector. Something tells me I dont fully understand the concept of Vectors and im declaring it wrong. Any Suggestions?

Make sure you have imported the Vector class at the start of that other class.
