Default Getting set up for graphical programming

    Hi,

I have the java SDK / JRE and Eclipse all set up, is their any other resource available to download that would help with graphical programming? Maybe like a additional shape class or any kind of addon to java / eclipse.

If you want something to help you visualize a GUI, I can recommend a plugin for eclipse. Here is the link.

But note that visual designers are advanced tools and are not recommended for those just starting out with GUIs.

For Graphics programming, it's worth going through the Tutorial Lesson: Performing Custom Painting (The Java™ Tutorials > Creating a GUI With JFC/Swing) and progressing to the Trail: 2D Graphics (The Java™ Tutorials)

Java SE has an adequate library of Shape classes in the java.awt.geom package.
