Default Making runnable .jar with working JDBC

Heya once again, im not sure if this is the right section but thought it was better then placing it in the wrong "specific" section.

Im almost done with a program i started to make.. and now im trying to make it runnable, i dont have the need to have it working as a single .exe file so a .jar would be enouth for the way it will be used.

I googled/youtubed a bit and saw that you can make runnable jars by exporting ur project in eclipse.. so i did this but in the end, the program works without the connection to database.

if i export it i get:
    StockControl.jar
StockControl_lib folder with the JDBC driver

i found ppl with similar problems but none of the threads were by using eclipse to export it (wich would be a simpler way of doing it).

    Questions:

Is it possible to make this work solely by using eclipse? maybe by adding some code somewhere?

My program takes a long time to start, but runs fine when its open (swiching panels depending on buttons, etc).. is that to be expected?

    Cumps

y, had seen it existed that way of doing it.. but since i saw the eclipse option, had been wondering if it was possible to do it all there.
anyway, thx for the answer.. guess i should just follow that exemple xD.

about the second question though, is it normal that .jar take quite some time to execute? or does that simply mean my "code aint that great"(since its not a very complex program)?

Depends what the code is doing before it displays a window.
If it's not doing much before the first screen and is taking a long time (which you haven't specified by the way) then it's probably just the JVM starting up.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.
