Default Issue with black painting in Swing form.

Hi, I'm pretty new to java, and was playing with the JFileChooser dialog, which when drawing to the screen displays ugly black artifacts. I'm not sure if its a painting problem, but most of my swing components have issues with drawing to the screen i.e. black stripes, missing sections of a window etc. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit with an up to date copy of the JDK and JRE.
Here is an image that shows the problem, any help much appreciated.

Seem to have fixed it. My graphics card had anti-aliasing set on, setting it to application controlled removed the issue.
