problems running echoclient

I have problems running echoclient on local host
There is an exception :

Couldn't get I/O for the connection to:localhost
how can i run both programms echo server and echo client

Please explain what the problem is.
Can the programs each be run by using the java command with each in turn?

It was a basic mistake , EchoServer must be run before Echoclient
Instersting thing is that returned message from server is at different port so ,( if you are familliar with clientserver java.net)
i can assume that there are 2 different sockets one ofr input and the other for output for both client and server?
