    Default Media Program in Java

    Hi
Im trying to create a media program. Ive come across JMF but from what I read there is limited functionality. I want users to be able to play their own clips, movies and audio with a simple install of my program.
Is this possible in Java? Or should I look at another way of doing it?
    thanks

The MediaView in JavaFX 2 can play .FLV files (but limited to supported codecs) and is expected to be developed over time into a flexible, full-featured media playback widget. Till then, you're stuck with the limitations of JMF.
