is it necessary to uninstall the current version of JDK befire updating?

No need to do that. Without uninstall simple update the existing version.

You are welcome.
However if you have look at the installed programs list in your PC, you can see that there are several entries on all the updates you have. Don't worry about that, installer manage the space as much as possible.
