If you do not know where the log files are located, do you know what the names of the log file(s) are so you could scan all the PCs hard drives to find them?

    Thanks for your reply.
No i dont know log file name's. Nice idea about scan all PCs hard drive but anyway that would take a lot time.
    Task is:
my app need's to somehow find/know where those log's are been generated by other application's but without that user give's me any path to them ( as i sayd i had idea that user before starting monitoring that application and logfiles, user need's to select path where log file's are goina be so i can know where they are and i can read them easy :D ) but now i have no idea how should i get path's to logfile what are generated by some app.

I was thinking meybe i can get something like.
Point me to process-> and from process get where is he located. some like if u run noted, notepad.exe is in C:/Windows/system32/ or something
is it possible to get process path or something ? :D i realy dont have any idea :D

If you don't know the names of the files or where they are located, I don't know how you will be able to read them. Its really impossible without some information about the files.

Logs files are not special files, they are exactly like every other file that created by the application.
"logs files" is a name that given by people to a file that describe some processses of an application, after all it's just a file that created by the application with a name that chosen by the one who build it.
The way you are thinking is wrong, there is no any function such as getLogFile or an adress in the memory that stores the name of it.. as I said it's just a txt file.

Just try to find out what is the name of the log file or just make a list of names that might be and look for all of them.
And after you use a certain application it generates the log file(if it has one) and then you can know the name.
