# Thread: Multiple compiling from DOS

1. ## Multiple compiling from DOS

I want to compile a sub folder of java files.

i use something like that

cd C:\Program Files\torcs\champ2009client-java\src\champ2009client
set PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_30\bin
javac -d ...

I want in the final command to compile the whole folder with java files. Any idea??

If the doc for the javac command does not show a way to do it, I don't know if you can do it.

3. ## Re: Multiple compiling from DOS

All of the files will be compiled if they relate to each other and you compile one of them. Otherwise, you might have to consider using something like Apache Ant, in which you can create a build file that compiles everything for you and execute it from the command line!

Can't you just do javac *.java?

Or: javac - Java programming language compiler

Yeah, actually, that probably works :P Duh. Thanks :D
