Java and MySQL
Hello, im new to java world, im supposed to be a web developer and that's why im learning Java.
Concerning databases, is it a must to learn PHP to work with MySQL?!, or just Java and MySQL?!, and how can i connect them together?!

The MySQL :: Developer Zone landing page mentions PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java and C# and has links documenting how these languages can be used with MySql.
On the Java side of things Oracle's Tutorial has a whole section on JDBC basics that describe and illustrate using Java with MySql (and JavaDB).
