I can't able to see static variables:(

while writing static variables in java code in eclipse ........ it displays like [][][][][][][][] after i typed........... i googled for that, n tried every thing no use.......pls help me.............

That would be an Eclipse issue or even your OS but definately not a Java issue. Have you tried closing Eclipse and restarting?

yes i did n its not showing in one java class, in all.......... mine is Eclipse Helios version........

i mean, if i define a variable as static it shows like [][][][][][][] this...... in eclipse

i got the problem there is a bug in my Eclipse Helios version........ that is it doesnt hav Italics fonts so it shows lik this.............. n it is cleared by changing to Bold fonts..............
