    Default Code of Classes

    Hi!

I'm just starting with Java programming and want to see how some classes are programmed. Is there a possibility that I can actually see a code of a class?

For example, I want to see the code of the class 'abstract collection class'. How can I do that?

    Thanks in advance,

    jjitss

Your JDK distribution comes with source code for all the classes in the distribution (*); look in your JDK directory; there's a src.zip file there that contains it all.

    kind regards,

    Jos

(*) this is not entirely true; there are helper classes (no public API) that don't come with sources.
