    Default Simple question about Eclipse.

If I use Eclipse, do I still need to use javac on command prompt?

Also, what Eclipse version should I use?

Eclipse is its own JDK, i.e. it comes with its own compiler (originally an IBM compiler) and debugger and javdoc tool etc etc. So you don't need Javac and its compadres anymore. I use Eclipse version 3.5 (codename Helios).

    kind regards,

The latest supports Java 7 :D
And if you don`t need EE features, you can use the smaller one "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers"
