    Smile package does not exist

    I am trying to import a package to another package and access a class in the former package. I used import in the latter package as

    import packagename.* immediately after the package name of the latter class.

    I working on netbeans IDE, and it underlines the package name it reads

    package does not exit.

    I can see it and both are under the same directory on the harddisk.

    Any suggestion as to what could be the problem?

    Did you spell the package name correctly? Is that package part of the same project in Netbeans?

    kind regards,
