    Default new to java

Hi my name is cody and i recentlly started taking a java class at my school so im fairly new at it. I love the class so far but I was just wondering what the limitations of Java are? Can you pretty much make any program that will do anything you want it to?
    thanks.

Short answer: yes. Too lazy for a long answer right now, perhaps others will expand.

The basics: cross platform, secure, prevents bad habits from being formed(mostly).

    Any welcome!

Lets keep this all in one place. I've merged the two threads.
